Welcome to Anna Kim's portfolio!
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003 with dual degrees in English and Psychology. After working for a year, I decided to return to school and earned my Master of Science in Secondary English Education degree from Northwestern University, Evanston, in 2006. Immediately upon graduating, I taught high school English for two years in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C. before returning to Chicago where I taught at a charter school in the South Side for the 2008-2009 school year. Because I cannot stay still for too long, I decided to challenge myself by pursuing another course of study, Library and Information Science, with a focus on School Media at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. I graduated with an MLIS in August, 2011 and currently work as a school library media specialist in a K-8 elementary school in CPS.
